Simao (Tse Mao) Huang has based his series "Edge of Reason" on the naivety and blind greed that dragged many Chinese into the stock market in Shanghai.
These people were not investors, but amateurs, completely ignorant of the investment world. Simao has depicted these people as being made of paper, so fragile and easy to damage. Yet they could not see that their supposed wealth was so fragile and was soon to be wiped out.
Tse Mao is one of the most technically gifted and competent of China's new wave of artists. His works impress not just on an artistic level but on an intellectual one too.
Simao has recently had sellout exhibitions in Beijing and in Taipei and has been exhibited by asart in Beijing, San Francisco, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Simao is represented internationally by asart
