Douglas Stewart: Just too good to ignore
Have you seen our new Western Contemporary area dedicated to non-Asian artists whom we feel are just too good to ignore?
Douglas Stewart is one of these artists and his latest painting, Morrison, is a superb artwork based on a totally original concept. It depicts the moment when Jim Morrison (from The Doors) was arrested on stage for indecent exposure. This is a moment in rock music history, an icon of the late 1960s, as well as being an amazing artwork.
Morrison is a large painting (122cm x 182cm), oil on canvas, and is priced at $US 18,000.
Seri Phuengporn: Exceptional value
This month has also seen Seri Phuengporn's latest works come to the gallery.
Seri's subject has moved from the Buddha and he is now capturing the beauty of the Asian woman in his wonderful, pixelated style. The works are both 122cm x 122cm approximately, acrylics (synthetic polymers) on linen and much more stunning in real life than in the images... as are the majority of works.
We believe that Seri is a serious emerging talent and an exceptional value.

Pairoj Karndee: Last Angel, first Mermaid finally here
Finally, one of our favourite artists, Pairoj Karndee, has completed both the last of his Angel series and also the first of his new Mermaid series over the last 3 months. Yes, they take approximately one month to complete.
Everyone who has purchased Pairoj's art comments that they are absolutely fabulous works and the technical brilliance of his painting is to be appreciated.
Pairoj's works are all exceptionally beautiful. Wonderfully coloured and simply magical.
